Older 2’s/Young 3’s
At REDS we believe in "Can Do Kids", so we start at an early age helping them develop independence while learning how to follow a simple routine.
Since this is the first school experience for many of our students, we take special care to provide a loving and nurturing environment for our newest learners. Our older 2's and young 3's have many opportunities to explore their environment through singing, movement, and most importantly, play. One of the more important roles of our older 2's and young 3's teachers is to help facilitate the children in learning how to interact and play cooperatively.
Outdoor play is crucial for all of our children to build their gross motor skills. Our older 2's and young 3's spend a significant amount of time playing outdoors and discovering the nature around them.
The Older 2's/Young 3's program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
9:00-11:45 am. Preference is given to those children who turn 3 by January 30 of the year enrolled. The students in this program are not required to be toilet trained prior to their entrance into school.
